SIFT · SMALL PHOTO BATCHES
Privacy policy
Effective 1 October 2026. Sift is provided by Yusuf Suhair. Contact: yusufmohdsuhair@gmail.com.
Photos stay in your library
Sift accesses only the photo-library items you permit, including thumbnails, previews, videos, file sizes, dates, and system favorite status, to help you review them and perform changes you confirm. Sift does not upload your photos, videos, or library metadata to us or a backend. We do not use advertising, behavioral analytics, tracking, or a crash-reporting SDK. There is no account or subscription.
Local review data
Item identifiers, review choices, Undo history, counters, and permission-request state are stored in the app’s local preferences. Thumbnail and media caches are managed locally by Sift and system photo providers. Review history is kept until you reset it or remove the app. Reset all review history in Settings clears Sift’s saved review choices and counters without removing photos. Uninstalling removes app data subject to your operating system’s backup and restoration behavior. Manage backups through your device provider.
Your permission and control
You can allow all photos or selected items, deny access, or revoke access in system Settings. Sift can review only accessible items. Your system photo provider may download iCloud or other cloud media when you inspect or play it. Those downloads and cloud synchronization are managed by your photo provider under its privacy policy.
Removal and recovery
A review swipe only changes a local choice. Removing media requires a final Sift confirmation and an operating-system confirmation. System favorites are excluded and checked again before removal. Some Android galleries keep private favorite flags unavailable to Sift.
On iPhone, confirmed removal uses Photos’ Recently Deleted. On Android, Sift uses system trash. Recover through Photos or your gallery within its displayed retention period. Sift never empties trash or permanently purges media. Cloud photo services may synchronize deletions across devices.
Support correspondence
If you choose to email support, we use your email address and message to respond. Do not send private photos or sensitive documents. Correspondence is retained only as needed to resolve the request and meet legal obligations. To request access, correction, or deletion of support correspondence, email the contact above. We may ask for enough information to verify that the request concerns your correspondence. We do not maintain a user-account or uploaded-photo database.
This support website
This website is hosted by Cloudflare. When you visit it, Cloudflare processes your IP address, requested URL, request time, and technical headers to deliver and protect the website; these records may reveal an approximate region. We do not embed analytics, advertising, third-party fonts, or tracking scripts. Provider request records follow Cloudflare’s retention and legal requirements. This website’s requests are separate from Sift’s on-device photo review.
Sharing and changes
We do not sell personal information. Email and hosting providers process only information needed to provide those services, under their privacy and security practices. Information may also be disclosed where required by law. This is a general-audience utility, not a service directed to children. Contact us if a child has provided personal information through support. We will update this policy if our practices change; the effective date identifies the current version.
