How do I start?

Allow full or selected Photos access, then choose Recent photos, Screenshots, or Large videos. Swipe or use the Keep and Set aside buttons. You can undo a choice or leave a batch to resume later.

Does a swipe delete a photo?

No. Set aside adds an item to a final selection. Removal requires confirmation in Sift and the operating system. Sift checks system favorites again before removal.

How do I recover a removed item?

On iPhone, open Photos → Recently Deleted. On Android, use your gallery’s Trash or Bin. Recover within the period shown by the system. Sift never empties trash. Cloud photo services can sync deletions across devices.

What if my photos are missing?

Open Sift Settings → Photo access. If you allowed selected photos only, share more items or change permission in system settings. Favorites and previously kept items are excluded from new batches. You can reset the kept list in Sift Settings without removing any photos.

What does “Large videos” mean?

Videos over 100 MiB. Displayed sizes describe the media, not immediately available free space. Removed items may remain in system trash until its retention period ends.

How do I clear review history?

Use Reset all review history in Sift Settings. This clears Sift’s choices and counters; it does not remove photos. Device backups are controlled by your operating system.
